Mike holds a BSc from Haaga Institute Helsinki and an MBA from IMHI (Cornell/ESSEC), and began his hospitality career with 10 years in operations, in four countries. Mike then joined Kempinski Hotels S.A., where he spearheaded the development department, bringing rapid international growth in both pioneering and highly sought-after destinations for 19 years. Mike is skilled at building partnerships and unlocking complex issues with creative solutions and is a culturally adept negotiator with agreements concluded in 70 countries. Mike left Kempinski to realise his dream of creating a new approach to hospitality and he is determined to combine his experience and passion for world cultures and sustainable development to bring positive change with Nokoni.
